I redesigned ways new users can explore approaches to managing chronic pain.
Flowly provides science-backed and personalized approaches to help people who struggle to find relief from chronic pain. Their app offers a mix of free and paid programs that is personalized to the user and they can experience it in the comfort of their own home. I worked on the new user journey and exploration aspect of their app in efforts to drive towards a paid membership – I audited their ux/ui, ran competitive analysis, and designed solutions to give new users a peek of what the app offers.

Audit onboarding and landing experience
To kickstart the project, I did a competitive analysis of onboarding experiences from various apps and an audit of the Flowly experience. I called out certain areas where there was a mismatch of user sentiment and where the user may need more context. I also collaborated with the team to understand background information and internal knowledge of user feedback.

Userflow of onboarding → explore → convert to paid membership
When mapping out the userflow of the new user experience, it was important that the user had a good understanding of what the app offers before seeing a paywall. I recommended a home screen containing free experiences, encourage repeat engagement, and then recommend the paid membership. After a few discussions, we decided to prioritize on designing an engaging free Home and Explore experience.
